A 40-year-old man has been remanded in custody over the murder of a pregnant woman in south-west London last week.

Unemployed Thomas Hughes of Stonells Road, Battersea, is accused of killing Krystal Hart, 22.

He appeared at Wimbledon magistrates court this morning and was ordered to reappear at the Old Bailey on July 17th.

Ms Hart was found dead outside her flat in Belleville Road, Battersea, on Friday.

A post-mortem gave her cause of death as two gunshot wounds to the head.

When she died, Ms Hart was three months pregnant.
