Households in the UK can reduce their energy bills by taking "small steps" to improve their efficiency, according to Nigel's Eco Store.
The company, which sells a number of environmentally friendly household products, has said that such steps can help people save a "massive amount" of energy while also reducing the cost of their utilities.
Nigel Berman, the founder of the firm, also went on to explain how changes like only boiling the amount of water you need can make a difference.
"By boiling less you use less energy and typical savings are about 30 per cent," he explained.
"There are government statistics that show that if everybody in the country only ever boiled the amount of water that they needed, we'd save enough energy to light all the streetlights in the UK."
According to previous figures released by Nigel's Eco Store, UK households could save up to £400 on heating, electricity and grocery bills by becoming more environmentally friendly.
