People who are going on sporting holidays with friends can benefit from discounts on travel insurance, according to a leading provider.
Chris Price, the head of Direct Line Travel Insurance, has said that the cover could be ideal for those planning to visit the China for the Olympics, New Zealand for the rugby tour or Moscow for the Champions League final.
He went on to explain that the group discounts offered by his company are for groups of up to 16 adults.
"If you and your mates are heading off on a sporting holiday, you can get together and benefit from a group discount," he said.
"Make the most of group discounts and ensure you have the coverage you need."
According to recent figures from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, over a third of people in the UK do not take out travel insurance when planning to take part in sports whilst abroad.
The same study found that winter sports holidays are becoming increasingly popular.
