Independent electricity'>business electricity supplier Opus Energy has struck a deal with Halfords bring the total number of business sites it provides electricity to up to 50,000.
Opus Energy is now the largest supplier of electricity outside of the big six.
In the last 12 months, the company has taken on contracts with 10,000 more business sites in the UK amounting to a 26 per cent year-on-year growth.
The flexible Opus Evolution deal with Halfords will last for two years initially and Opus Energy is expected to provide the bicycle and motoring retailer with 52GWh at 440 locations.
Steve James, Commercial Director for Opus Energy said: "We've drawn on extensive retail sector experience to provide a tailored solution for Halfords.
"Opus Evolution will give Halfords control over their energy needs and projected spend," he added.
The company also offers its customers the option of low carbon tariffs with 54 per cent of supplied energy coming from renewable sources.
