The Scottish National Party (SNP) has introduced a new package of measures aimed at improving access to cheap energy.
Worth £60 million, the energy assistance package is designed to ensure homeowners are paying the right price for their electricity and gas, and to raise awareness of any benefits they are entitled to claim.
Meanwhile, many homeowners are set to benefit from new insulation, as the government tries to lift people out of fuel poverty.
The SNP's website states: "The new energy sssistance package delivers the right kind of support to those who need it and will make sure those facing fuel poverty have access to the benefits, tariffs and help with the installation of central heating or insulation where it is needed."
Meanwhile, the Chartered Institute of Housing has helped crate the Existing Homes Alliance, which is trying to persuade ministers to tackle climate change by retrofitting houses with insulation.
