The All Energy 2009 conference will take place in Aberdeen this May.

With more than 360 exhibitors, this year's event will be the largest to date and more than 4,500 visitors have registered their interest in attending the two-day event.

Project director Judith Patten, from Media Generation Events, said: "We certainly look well set for success at this the ninth annual All Energy."

She added: "There is a three-session stream on offshore wind; sessions on hydrogen fuel cells [and] renewable."

There will also be sessions on mobilising renewable energy for the public good and seminars on low carbon buildings and residential microgeneration.

Keynote speakers at the conference will include Adam Bruce, chairman of the British Wind Energy Association, and Mike McElhinney, head of energy projects for the Scottish government.

According to Acre Resources, Britain's renewable energy sector has grown by 58 per cent in the past year despite the ongoing economic downturn.
