Worcestershire residents are to be given a helping hand by the Energy Saving Trust (EST) to reduce the cost of their electricity and gas bills.
Part of the organisation's fight against climate change, the EST has teamed up with the West Midlands and local councils to offer householders the chance to slash £340 a year off their energy bills.
The scheme will run throughout September and will offer homeowners a free personalised energy report, which will give them hints and tips on how to reduce their bills.
Lynn Melling, manager of the EST, said: "Many of the actions we recommend will cost little to put into practice yet will have fantastic results.
"With subsidies available for everyone, regardless of their income, these measures can often pay for themselves within around 18-months."
Meanwhile, people who have never used price comparison sites to switch their energy supplier could be paying as much as £300 a year more than those who have, according to thisismoney.co.uk.
