Firms looking to reduce business energy bills and adhere to the guidelines of the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC EES) may find their choice of IT system is crucial.

Sonny Masero, vice-president of ecoSoftware, for CA Technologies regarding the CRC compliance survey, says operating an efficient system will help companies meet the requirements.

The CRC EES aims to improve energy efficiency within large organisations and cut emissions made by those working in the UK.

"Finding the right IT system is key to ensuring that it will remain fit for purpose as the CRC EES scheme develops over the next five years," explains Mr Masero.

He adds optimum carbon management and widespread sustainability performance improvements can be enjoyed by firms who select wisely.

According to recent research by CA Technologies, 66 per cent of respondents to a survey agreed the CRC EES will help firms to enjoy a reduction in business energy bills.
