Homeowners who choose to compare electricity prices may find the process leads them to the beautiful beaches of Tuscany.
Using a comparison site such as UK Power can lead to a switch of energy supplier and subsequent cheaper rates on home fuel.
With this spare cash, some people may like to visit Italy - and in particular Tuscany, which has been praised by tourism experts.
Stefania Gatta, spokeswoman for the Italian State Tourist Board, says the area close to Maremma in particular is "very beautiful".
"You can go to this very beautiful coastline and there is a promontory there called Argentario, which is absolutely stunning," she explains.
This region is also reasonably undiscovered by travellers, so it tends to be cheaper than other spots in Italy.
Another reason to visit Italy is the food and drink on offer, with 30 per cent of respondents to the Lonely Planet Awards who were asked what cuisine they would happily eat for life answering Italian.
