Homeowners who take the time to compare electricity prices from various suppliers may soon find themselves saving a significant amount of cash.
This could then be used on a number of things, such as days out, socialising, electronic goods or maybe even a holiday in Tenerife.
The good news for those who have yet to start saving as a result of comparing electricity prices is that the Canary island is a great destination all year.
Jose Manuel Bermudez, vice-president of the Tenerife Island Government and councillor for tourism, says the Spanish resort is a 12-month holiday spot.
This is a result of its warm winter climate and what Mr Bermudez labels an "unbeatable" spring weather pattern.
He notes a "welcoming atmosphere and a fantastic range of activities, facilities and hotels make the island a perfect choice for relaxing breaks, family holidays or adventure trips".
The Tenerife Tourism Association recently decided to start promoting Tenerife via the video-sharing website YouTube.
