Homeowners looking to switch energy supplier to reduce their bills could spend their savings on something more stylish.
And one way in which men in particular can treat themselves is by investing in jewellery, Stephen Webster, founder and director of his namesake company claimed.
Speaking at International Jewellery London, he said: "Once a man has made a decision to bejewel there is no going back ... Over the last couple of years black diamond jewellery has really taken off."
He put this down to the fact that the look is "sparkly" but not quite "blinging" like its white style counterpart.
The jeweller added that men like to go into detail with the pieces they wear and as such, his company is always on the lookout for new materials.
Men looking to spend their savings on other aspects of their appearance might want to lay off metrosexual grooming.
According to a poll conducted by Sound Asleep, 85 per cent of women prefer men to be natural and hairy rather than overly waxed.
