A Welsh school may serve as inspiration for other organisations in the UK to save money on their business energy expenses.
Llangattock Church in Wales Primary School was the subject of a summer makeover as part of the British Gas Green Streets Challenge, reports Wales Online.
Just some of the work carried out in the education institution includes the installation of wall cavity insulation, as well as similar materials being applied to the loft areas, where lagging is said to have doubled.
Business energy bills could immediately start to reduce as the school finds it is using less power - a practice that may also work in a host of other environments.
Head teacher Hayley Smith tells the news source: "Being open plan makes it even more important for us to have good insulation. We've got that now, thanks to Green Streets, so we're looking forward to cheaper heating bills."
Duncan McLaren, chief executive of Friends of the Earth, recently suggested Scottish companies are well placed to reduce business energy costs, due to the country's strong green credentials.
