Switching your business electricity may seem like a tricky prospect, but luckily we've got plenty of experience when it comes to saving businesses money by finding them a better deal for their energy.
The nature of our service means that we'll take care of the process and make sure everything runs smoothly - and all for free - but here are a few answers to some questions you might have.
Not everyone realises that business electricity is an especially competitive area of the market, with various suppliers fighting to supply your energy. As a result, the companies responsible for providing electricity offer a wide variety of tariffs and rates depending on the nature of your business.
Our role in this is to compare the range of deals that are available to you, finding the one that best suits your situation and needs. On average, we save business electricity clients 30% on their bills.
The point at which you can switch your electricity will depend on your contract end date, so it's important to check this first. In the majority of cases contracts will run for a period of between one and three years - a timeframe during which your prices won't change, but you will be unable to switch to a new deal without being hit with a substantial penalty.
As such, you have to wait for what is known as a 'switching window' before you can start the process, and depending on your current provider this window could be anywhere between 30 days and four months. Any business currently within this window will be able to switch now, although suppliers do not always make it abundantly clear when your contract finishes - nor when the window is open - so it's important to call them and check. Indeed, this will also stop you from being automatically rolled over onto a new contract that is usually far more expensive. If you realise that your renewal date isn't for some time, you can let us know and we'll keep track of this for you. Once you've done so, you can forget all about the contract and we'll give you a call when the time comes. In the same way, if we set up a deal for you then we'll get in touch once that's up for renewal to ensure you're on a cheaper deal when that comes around too.
The great thing about our service is that it's completely free - you don’t pay us a penny, as we make our money from the suppliers by charging them a small commission fee. Being impartial, we are not aligned with a specific provider, so we're able to search the whole market to find the best deal for you.
After we've found a quote that you tell us you're happy with we'll take care of the rest - the only thing you need to do is send a termination letter to your supplier, within your switching window, which lets them know that you're going to be using a new provider.
We've got a template you can use for this, which means that all you have to do is fill in a form and we'll generate a letter for you that you can print out and send in the post. Once that's sorted, we'll take care of the administrative side to set up your deal with your new supplier, and if you want this to happen on a specific date all you have to do is let us know and we'll see if this is feasible.
We can assure you that your business electricity is not interrupted by the switching process - at all. That's because your physical supply doesn't change - no work needs to take place in your building, so there's no risk anything gets switched off. All that changes is the company that's sending you your bills.

Our relationship with them means we offer one of the most comprehensive business electricity switching services available.
