One of the leading energy firms in the UK has launched a new interactive website to offer energy efficiency guides to consumers.

ScottishPower has revealed the new site which aims to help customers across the UK to reduce their energy consumption and save money on their bills.

The website, found at, features a virtual tour of a typical UK house, explaining how the average homeowner can save up to £270 on their energy bills through simple efficiency steps to reduce consumption.

ScottishPower will also update the site with its 'green news', explaining products available from the energy firm.

Robbie Parish, head of Ecommerce at ScottishPower, said the site was designed to be "informative, fun to use and easy to navigate".

"The interactive features like the C02 calculator give visitors a unique experience, and we hope that users will be able to take this information and make positive decisions about their energy usage," he added.

The energy firm recently entered a programme of public consultation over plans to store additional gas supplies at an empty natural gas field at the Hatfield Moor Gas Storage and Lindholme Processing Facility.
