Under the scheme, homeowners can get grants of up to £2,700 in order to make their homes more energy-efficient, through the use of advice, efficient light bulbs and new insulation, which can all help to reduce overall energy bills.
Graham Marsh, executive councillor for adult social care, said people need to ensure they dont miss out before the "cold weather begins to bite".
He added: "We want to make sure older and vulnerable people stay warm and healthy and these government grants are there to help.
