He advises teaming carbon capture and storage (CCS) capabilities with the newest green innovations.
"Into the future, we can only operate fossil fuel power stations if we can control the emissions from them, so CCS is an absolutely crucial component for the future of power generation," Mr Chapman states.
Those concerned with their business energy bills may find they have plenty to gain by taking a stronger stance when it comes to going green.
Some firms may have made a good start in this field, as it was recently announced the UK is responsible for 14 projects that are to be considered by the European Union for funding, the Department of Energy and Climate Change noted.
