Business energy customers in Britain who are looking to make their company operate in a more environmentally-friendly way might be interested in the latest offer from the Carbon Trust.

In a partnership with Siemens Financial Services UK, the body is taking applications for shares of a fund worth £550 million, over the next 36 months. The money will be supplied by the technology company and each case will be assessed by the authority's Implementation Services division.

This combination should mean that consumers will not feel the pinch of any further net costs because they will be balanced out through savings on energy, the Carbon Trust noted.

British Gas has also recently highlighted how it has helped private companies reduce their fuel expenditure by nearly £4.3 million. During the last two years, over 1,000 enterprises have used its Small Business Advice and Expertise Service to reduce debt from an average of £4,283 to £335.60.
