Homeowners looking for ways to reduce their power bills may like to make a switch of energy supplier, as well as take advantage of new renewable heating measures.
The latter option has been praised by Consumer Focus, whose energy expert Liz Laine described the Renewable Heat Incentive as a positive move.
"It is particularly good news that consumers living off the gas grid, who often have much higher energy bills, will be a key target in the roll-out of this scheme," she said.
The expert suggested the new regulations, announced today (March 10th) by the government, are likely to help people slash their costs.
Ms Laine went on to note a number of steps must be taken if fuel consumption is to be cut – which may include increased awareness among consumers.
James Strawbridge, eco-campaigner, TV presenter and author, this week said one way to cut down on power usage is to invest in efficient windows.
