Tariff Features

  • This tariff is only eligible for those over 60s or who qualify for Age UK by other means.
  • Fixed energy prices for 24 months.
  • Online billing.
  • Pay by Monthly Direct Debit, Variable Direct Debit (quarterly) or Pay on Receipt of Bill.
  • Dual fuel or electric-only available† - there is no gas-only option.
  • No early termination fees.
  • Notes: This tariff is not available with prepayment meters. †'Electricity only' is not available with an alternative E.ON gas tariff. Customers paying by Fixed Monthly Direct Debit will see their standing charge increase by £35 per fuel per year if they cancel their Direct Debit.
  • Around 6 weeks before the end of the fixed price period E.ON may offer you a follow on fixed tariff. If you do not accept this offer you will transfer to standard variable prices at the end of this tariff.
  • E.ON do not currently offer the Warm Home Discount.

Supplier information

E.ON are one of the country's leading electric and gas companies, supplying millions of homes and businesses across the UK. They also offer a range of home energy services, including boiler and central heating installation, maintenance and insurance.

As far as E.ON's green credentials are concerned, they have 21 wind farms located from Cornwall to Northern Ireland. They also built the UK's largest dedicated biomass power station at Lockerbie and they're committed to developing their offshore wind farms in British waters.

E.ON are the world's largest investor-owned electricity and Gas Company. They bought PowerGen in July 2000, though the change was carried out over a long period of time in order to minimise waste and excessive cost.
