Who is Utility Point?

Utility Point was launched in 2017 with the promise of long-term sustainable value and an honest quality of service for all our customers. It joined the market in 2018 and has followed through on its pledge by offering some of the cheapest dual fuel deals available.

It’s not all about low rates though, as Utility Point aims to revolutionise the entire customer experience by protecting them against price rises and even putting money back into their pockets, which it does via Utility Points Rewards, a benefits scheme that offers customers discounts at certain shops, restaurants and online stores.

Although Utility Point doesn’t yet offer 100% renewable electricity, it does have a commitment to cutting carbon emissions, which it does by providing customers with energy efficiency tips and ways to ensure their energy usage fits with their lifestyle to help cut their carbon footprint.

The Dorset-based supplier also does more than provide household gas and electricity, as it also provides home emergency cover and offers boiler servicing and installations in partnership with NorthernGasHeating.

What is Utility Point’s fuel mix?

Electricity is generated from a combination of different fuels, including nuclear, coal and renewable sources (wind, hydro and solar). The different amounts of each fuel contributed makes up a supplier’s fuel mix.

Here is Utility Point’s fuel mix as of April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019:

Electricity supplied by Utility Point % of total Average for GB (for comparison) % of total
