Consumer Focus figures have shown the amount of complaints registered by consumers about energy suppliers in the UK has fallen, according to an article published by BBC News.
Before that, complaints had increased by 26 per cent during 2011's third quarter.
SSE, nPower, EDF Energy and British Gas all saw the amount of complaints registered against them fall, while E.ON recorded an increase of 7 per cent.
Scottish Power meanwhile saw no change.
Despite recording a 14 per cent fall, EDF Energy remained as the worst performing company - with 188 complaints made per 100,000 customers. As a result it has been awarded a zero (out of five) rating by Consumer Focus.
Audrey Gallacher of Consumer Focus welcomed the latest figures.
She said: "Any fall in complaints is clearly welcome but there are still many problems energy customers are experiencing which need to be resolved.
"Giving consistently good customer service and tackling any problems which do arise effectively is key to rebuilding faith in the distrusted energy market," she added.
