Energy firms roll out winter deals
Gas and electricity providers are preparing for the winter months by rolling out new money saving deals.
The big six firms are introducing promotions to help customers save money during the most costly months for energy consumption.
N Power has launched a new deal which gives customers to chance to cap their energy bills until 2011 with no termination fee.
Scottish and Southern Energy is offering a number of free credits to those using a pre payment meter. This follows a report from the National Housing Federation which states that those using pre payment meters pay on average £100 more than those who pay by Direct Debit. Scottish Power has recently launched a system where customers can top up their pre payment meters online.
British Gas is giving customers a chance to save over £1,000 on a new boiler if they arrange to have it fitted before January 3rd 2010.
The range of new products on offer means that now is the time to be looking to see if you are still getting the best deal.
Last week consumer group Which? recommended that the winter months are the best time to consider switching supplier.
