Business energy customers looking to reduce their power consumption might be interested in two devices that could help them save money upon installation.
The Eco Kettle is recommended by the Energy Saving Trust (EST) and has been shown to make savings of around 31 per cent. It works by giving users more control over how much water is boiled by storing a full amount internally and dispersing the correct supply each time.
This could be ideal for offices where staff regularly take coffee breaks as its manufacturer noted that normal kettles use twice the amount of water needed.
Another product given approval by the EST is the Standby Plug, which may be suitable for the home as well as the working environment. It is a socket that acts as a bridge between a device such as a television and a wall-mounted connection.
When turned on, it will automatically synchronise itself with the TV and monitor when it is in use. Once the standby button is hit, the plug cuts the power completely after two minutes.
