It notes research by the Energy Saving Trust found 26 per cent of energy is lost through the roof of properties while 33 per cent finds a way through the walls.
Preventing this can be a significant step towards slashing usage and, in turn, reducing invoices from dual fuel providers, the website states.
Such advice may be particularly relevant at the moment after all of the UK's major energy suppliers but EDF opted to increase their prices recently.
