nPower energy saving Twitter campaign parodies 50 Shades of Grey

Between 1 July 2019 and 31 December 2019, at least 10% of people who switched energy supplier for both gas & electricity with Uswitch saved £479 or more.

Energy suppliernPower has launched a blog and a Twitter campaign designed to provide consumers with hints and tips on how they can save money on their energy bills.

Entitled '50 Shades of Green,' the campaign parodies the hugely popular erotic novel, 50 Shades of Grey. nPower has claimed that the campaign will "get the nation turned on to all things energy."

Through its Juice deal, nPower provide a certified green energy tariff - offering an alternative for customers that want green energy but don't want to switch to one of the UK's green energy suppliers.

Some of the tweets featured as part of the campaign include: "He asks me if I'm ready. If I'd realised how painless it would be, I'd have had cavity wall insulation done ages ago."

Another reads: "He's asking too much of me. I'm all for this malarkey but not this - a ground source heat pump is a step too far."
