SWALEC have launched a new tariff named "Welsh Rugby", available in Swalec and Manweb regions only. When you sign up to this tariff you earn free kit and equipment for your local SWALEC league club; get £10 of Webb Ellis vouchers per fuel for your club; and a further £5 per fuel per year. Swalec Wesh Rugby is the same price as standard energy price with no extra premium.

LoCO2 Energy have issued new prices on 15th December 2010. Prices have increased by an average of 5.8%.
LoCO2 Energy have also launched a new fixed price tariff called LoCO2 Pocket Fixed.

Pocket Fixed is our green electricity tariff designed for those customers who want peace of mind against energy price rises. It's the best tariff for those on a limited budget who still want to make a meaningful reduction to their carbon emissions. By signing up to Pocket Fixed, customers fix their prices at the quoted rate for a whole year, meaning they are protected no matter what happens to electricity rates. Pocket Fixed's electricity is at least 20% renewable, with the rest being made up of good-quality combined heat and power (CHP).

EDF have launched Online S@ver v8 today. The previous version Online S@ver v7 has been withdrawn. Average tariffs for Online S@ver 8 are 2% higher than v7.

First:Utility have launched iSave v7 for homeowners. This is a dual fuel tariff and carries an 11% discount up to a maximum of £200 per annum for dual fuel paid annually after consecutive direct debit payments. iSave v7 dual fuel prices are 8% higher than iSave v6 dual fuel prices. iSave v6 is no longer available. The new prices will be held for a minimum of 3 months.

Available for Home Owners only and not available for IGT (Independent gas transport) network customers.

Spark Energy Supply has increased its Standard Plus tariff (customers paying by cash and cheque in arrears) by 5% for gas and 9% for power on average. The increase is effective for new customers from 1st December 2010 and for existing customers from 7th January 2011.

The Standard tariffs for customers paying by DD and PAYG tariff have not been increased.

British Gas - New prices go in to effect today. These prices were announced on 15th November 2010 and will raise domestic bills for gas and electricity by an average of 7%.

Customers on fixed price deals are not be affected and the price rise will not be applied to the company’s 300,000 most vulnerable customers until the Spring.

NPower have announced a 5.1% price increase on their gas and electricity rates (weighted average across the npower customer base).

All tariffs affected have been updated on the website. Some tariffs have not been affected by the price rise such as Sign Online 20 and current fixed tariffs.

SSE, Southern Electric, Swalec and Scottish Hydro Electric have launched a new tariff called "oplan". This is a 100% renewable electricity tariff, with electricity emissions offset, and an additional tonne of gas emissions offset. With oplan you’ll also be saving trees by managing your account online and receiving paperless bills.

Ovo Energy has increased their prices for new customers signing up for Ovo Fixed rate tariffs from 6th December 2010. Prices for existing customers and applications up till 5th December 2010 remain the same. Ovo Energy has removed it's variable rate tariffs from sale.

Scottish Power have issued new prices for their Online Energy Saver 7 and 8 tariffs. These are prices for a one year extension to those tariffs from 1st December 2010. The new prices are updated on the ukpower.co.uk website. The customers new prices are guaranteed to remain at the same minimum 3% Discount to our standard Direct Debit prices as before.

Today, the new domestic gas prices for Scottish and Southern Energy take effect. These prices were announced on 29th October 2010. Average costs will increase by 9.4%. Electricity prices and fixed price tariffs remain unaltered.

EDF Energy have launched Energy Discount Plan Version 4 to replace Energy Discount Plan Version 3. This is available for dual fuel or electricity only and carries a 2 1/2 % discount off standard energy prices until the end of June 2012. Scottish Power have launched Online Energy Saver 12 at the same prices as Online Energy Saver 11 but with an extended end date of 29th February 2012. This tariff tracks at 2% below Scottish Power standard tariffs for monthly direct debit customers. No more paper bills. Email reminders for meter readings. Scottish Power have launched a new tariff today called Scottish Power Discounted Energy March 2012. This provides a discount off Scottish Power standard monthly direct debit tariffs and also has dual fuel and online discounts.

E.ON have launched E.ON Age UK Price Protection May 2012 to new customers. There is no cancellation fee with this product and prices are capped until 1st May 2012. Scottish Power prices increase on 25th November by an average of 2% for gas and 8.9% for electricity. "The change in prices announced is as a result of sustained increases in the wholesale energy market, with the wholesale costs for an average Dual Fuel customer up 26% since 31st March 2010. The rising burden of non-energy costs faced by Britain’s energy suppliers, including the cost of meeting government environmental and social programs and the cost of distributing electricity on the national grid, has also placed further upward pressure on energy bills."

First:Utility have launched iSave V6 effective from 22nd November 2010 and have withdrawn iSave V5. iSave V6 has a dual fuel discount of 11% to a maximum of £100 per annum (Inc VAT) for electricity and £100 for gas (Inc VAT) per annum, paid annually after consecutive direct debit payments. Customers can submit monthly meter reads via the customer portal for accurate billing. Prices will be held for a minimum of 3 months.

British Gas - New tariffs which go in to effect on 10th December 2010 are now live and updated on the UKPower.co.uk Price Comparison Service. The old "Standard" tariffs which remain in effect until the 10th December will also remain available for one month until the new tariffs take effect. All other tariffs have been updated so that new tariffs show on the site.

British Gas today has begun notifying its customers that from 10th December 2010 it will raise domestic tariffs for both gas and electricity by an average of 7%. This is because the cost of supplying and delivering gas and electricity to customer’s homes has been going up and has considerably increased in the last few months. The price change, which will amount to an increase of £1.50 on the average weekly dual fuel bill, will affect around 8 million customers on British Gas’ standard and variable tariffs. However, the price rise will not be applied to the company’s 300,000 most vulnerable customers until the winter is over. Furthermore, 1.6 million customers on fixed price deals will not be affected in any way.

EDF launched their EcoManager Package with a free EcoManager wireless appliance controller. They have also added a £50 Welcome Bonus for new Monthly Direct Debit customers signing up before 30th November 2010. British Gas has announced a service enhancement to their EnergySmartâ„¢ proposition.

EnergySmart™ includes a Free Colour Monitor worth £39.99 (available to new EnergySmart sign ups, but with limited availability); an Enhanced iPhone App; and access to a range of exclusive online tools.

British Gas Price Promise October 2012 is exclusively available with EnergySmart, allowing customers to fix their prices until 31st October 2012.

SSE (Scottish and Southern Energy) announced new prices for household gas customers with effect from 1st December 2010. This is due to the increase in forward annual wholesale gas prices since the last price change. Average costs will increase by 9.4%. Electricity prices remain unaltered and fixed price tariffs are not changed. (SSE Group includes Atlantic Electric and Gas, Southern Electric, Swalec and Scottish Hydro Electric. M&S Energy gas prices are also increased.)

British Gas have announced the launch of Price Promise October 2012. Price Promise October 2012 is exclusively available with EnergySmart, allowing customers to fix their prices until 31st October 2012. Available to customers taking Dual Fuel and existing single fuel customers taking Dual Fuel.

first:utility have launched Smart as Standard V1. Smart as Standard V1 is a dual fuel energy supply tariff with Smart Meters, this will enable accurate billing and visibility of energy use on line.

E.ON have launched E.ON SaveOnline 4. E.ON SaveOnline 4 offers customers reassurance that prices will always be at least 6% cheaper than E.ON Energy plan prices (i.e. E.ON standard tariff) until 15th January 2012. To save costs, this tariff is managed online and is payable by direct debit.

SSE have launched Atlantic Fixed Price 3 which is only available via UKPower.co.uk and other Internet Comparison Sites. This tariff is available to new customers switching online only. The prices are fixed for 12 months from the date the customer's electricity account goes live.

Npower have launched their new Npower Sign Online 20 which has a prices guaranteed to be 2% lower than Npower standard prices until 31st December 2011. This reprents an average REDUCTION in prices between the two tariffs of 7.45%

Scottish Power have launched Scottish Power Capped Price Energy December 2012. "With our Capped Price Energy December 2012 Offer the price you pay for your energy units will not rise above the capped prices before 30th November 2012. And what’s more, if our standard monthly Direct Debit prices fall below the capped prices, your prices will fall too. Our Capped Price Energy December 2012 Offer is the longest capped offer in the market (as at 11th October 2010)."

E.ON have launched a new E.ON Track and Save 7 proposition with effect from Monday 11th October 2010 for new and existing customers and with an end date of 1st December 2011. E.ON Track and Save 7 bills are guaranteed*(caveat) to be cheaper than British Gas Standard bills until 1st December 2011.

British Gas has today announced the launch of Online Saver 3 with immediate effect. Online Saver 3 includes the EnergySmart package which includes features such as: a free energy monitor, online predictive spend calculator, SMS meter reading submissions, email reminders for meter readings, and savings benefits that come from better data focus and usage monitoring.

This tariff is available to credit meter customers in all regions and available to new customers taking Dual Fuel and existing customers taking Dual or Single fuel. E.ON Economy 7 Prices - E.ON have announced price decreases for their Economy 7 tariffs in 12 UK regions. This is as a result of changing Economy 7 usage patterns by E.ON customers. E.On have also increased the extra discount for customers with No Mains Gas within their supply regions.

Scottish & Southern Energy has launched 'Price Fix 5 March 2012' under it's brand names Scottish Hydro, Southern Electric, and Swalec. This is replacing 'Price Fix 4 August 2011' which is withdrawn. On average Price Fix 5 is 5.6% higher than Price Fix 4.

Scottish Power have launched Online Energy Saver 11 to replace their Online Energy Saver 10 tariff . This offers a 2% discount against standard monthly direct debit tariffs until October 2011. On average the new tariff is 5.1% higher than version 10.

Note added to EDF and Sainsburys tariffs which expire on 30th June 2011 pointing out that the rates and discounts may change after that date. The current tariffs and discounts are used to calculate the total annual cost for comparison purposes. These current rates for those 30th June 2011 tariffs remain in force throughout Winter and the first six months of 2011.

From 1st September 2010, first utility's recent price rises will come into force for customers coming out of a three-month fixed period on the iSave v3 tariff. Prices for iSave 3 and Smart Online Saver 4 have been updated on the website to reflect this increase.

British Gas has today announced the launch of British Gas WebSaver 9 with immediate effect. A guaranteed discount period is offered, with a minimum 6% discount against British Gas standard tariff prices until 1st November 2011. Whether prices go up, down or remain the same, British Gas WebSaver 9 will be a minimum 6% below the standard tariff rates.

E.ON have launched E.ON SaveOnline 3 with effect from 19 August. E.ON SaveOnline v3 differs to previous versions as it offers customers reassurance that prices will always be at least 6% cheaper than E.ON Energy plan prices until 1st November 2011.

EDF Energy have launched a new tariff called EDF Online S@ver version 7. Prices are variable however a minimum 2% discount off Standard Tariff unit rates is guaranteed until the 31 December 2011. EDF Online S@ver v6 is withdrawn but is still available under the Sainsburys Energy brand. EDF Online S@ver v7 has a 6% Monthly Direct Debit discount and £8.40 Dual Fuel discount. This tariff is also available under Sainsburys Energy brand.

Npower have launched a new tariff called Npower Go Fix 3. This new product carries the same attributes as their current SOL product but is FIXED! Customer’s prices will be fixed until 31st October 2011. Npower Go Fix 3 is only available online.

This tariff is also available under the Sainsbury's brand for direct debit customers and provides a guaranteed discount of 2.5% on Standard Electricity and Gas prices until at least the end of September 2011, whether Standard prices go up or down.

E.ON Energy have replaced their FixOnline 8 tariff with SaveOnline v2. This new tariff offers a similar rates and discounts as FixOnline 8 however is now a variable plan with a discount guarantee until 31st August 2011 and no cancellation fee.

Npower Football Saver tariff launched. For new customers paying by monthly or quarterly direct and guaranteed to be 7% below npower standard tariff until 30th September 2011. A £45 voucher to spend at any official Football League club shop is also sent within 28 days of supply start date.

Ovo Energy have stopped selling their Variable Rate tariff. They have increased the tariffs for their Fixed Rate product. Customers who signed up before 28th April will still receive the lower price tariffs they signed up for.

Npower have launched two new tariffs, Save Online 18 and Price Guarantee. Save Online 18 provides some of the cheapest gas and electricity rates in the market and Price Guarantee provides capped prices until 31st May 2011 without cancellation fees.

On 8th of March, Scottish Power announced a 8% drop in gas prices. These new prices are effective from 31st of March and all standard tariffs have been updated on the website.

Telecom plus t/a The Utility Warehouse have issued new energy tariffs that will take effect on 1st April 2010. All gas tariffs have reduced. "Our average reduction for a typical user is 7.7%."

E.ON Energy have launched a new Track and Save v4 tariff, replacing the previous Track and Save v3.

E.ON has announced it will decrease gas prices for its residential customers effective from 31st March 2010. The company is also simplifying its bills so they are clearer and easier to understand. The decrease means customers paying by monthly Direct Debit will save £42 off their annual gas bills. This is the third price cut announced by E.ON in just over 12 months.

SSE have launched Atlantic FP September 2011, replacing the existing March 2011 Atlantic Online FP version. Available only to new customers switching online to this Atlantic tariff.

They have also introduced a new discount structure - dual fuel discount of 10% to a maximum of £45 (Inc VAT) per annum for electricity and £75 (Inc VAT) per annum for gas, paid annually after consecutive direct debit payments. New rates will be passed onto existing iSave v3 and Smart online saver v4 customers.

npower announced reductions in domestic gas prices averaging 7% or £50. These cuts apply to new applications from 9th March and new prices will take effect from 26 March 2010.

Scottish and Southern Energy announced new prices for household gas customers with effect from 29th March 2010. The effect of these changes on a typical customer using the industry standard amount of gas (20,500kWh per annum) will be to reduce SSE's gas bills by: 4% or £30 (standard credit / direct debit); 7% or £56 (single fuel); and 9% or £70 (pre-payment).

Scottish Power have launched a new green energy tariff, Simply Green Energy, which has been labeled with the new Green Energy Scheme Certification, indicating that you can be confident that you are buying electricity that comes from a renewable source and that the energy supplier is delivering additional environmental benefits over and above their existing regulatory obligations. The Green H20 tariff has been removed from the market.

EDF Energy have relaunched Annual Fix Version 2, providing peace of mind of knowing with fixed prices untill at least the end of March 2011. This tariff is also available under the Sainsbury's brand. Annual Fix Version 1 has been withdrawn.
