Companies across the UK who are struggling to pay their energy bills may benefit greatly from comparing electricity prices online.
A report by the Guardian suggests the cost of power tariffs within the country are rocketing.
It puts forward a switch to green energy as the best way forward, with improved fuel efficiency and a reduction in consumption perhaps the only way to combat soaring costs.
But what it has arguably not factored in is the potential for comparing electricity online to throw up a cut in monthly bills, should a switch of supplier be made.
Benj Sykes, writing for the newspaper, states: "Recent changes to the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency scheme announced by the government mean even more of a financial incentive to reduce carbon emissions for those companies involved."
Emma Adler, media relations manager for Consumer Focus, last week suggested many Britons are growing angry with energy providers over price issues.
