Consumer Focus has produced a new guideÂ that details the levels of service consumers are entitled to expect from their energy suppliers.
As well as covering standard energy suppliers, the guide - which will be sent out to all UK homes in the next couple of weeks - will also cover green energy suppliers. It also provides advice on what consumers should do ifÂ they encounter a problem.
Entitled "Staying Connected," Consumer Focus has also produced a list of consumer energy rights that could help people save money, in order to promote the guide.
The organisation's director of policy and external affairs, Adam Scorer revealed that he hoped the guide would help consumers "get the most" from their suppliers.
He said: "Households across the country are worried about the energy bills.
"But the simple fact is many people don't know what their rights are or whether to find help, and they could be losing out as a result," Mr Scorer added.
