One of the benefits of the government-supported renewable heat incentive scheme is likely to be the arrival of cheap gas and electricity bills.
John Barwise, chairman of the Cumbrian Green Business Forum, says the only problem is finding the installation price.
Those who manage to secure this will benefit from what he describes as an encouraging project.
One of the anticipated results of the scheme is a significant lowering in consumption of energy in homes, which should translate to a saving when it comes to paying monthly invoices.
Cabinet member Oliver Letwin recently said the proposal will help the UK advance in the environmental market.
"In the next five years, our strong, united coalition government will take the crucial steps that set us on the road to a secure, low carbon, green growth Britain," he noted.
However, Mr Barwise was keen to point out the scheme must not be used as a gift to the rich that is paid for by the poor.
