A leading TV weather expert has pledged her support to the Home Heat Helpline.
Sian Lloyd, weather presenter on ITV, has joined the Energy Retail Association (ERA) in helping to ensure people across the UK remain warm during the winter months.
The Home Heat Helpline is designed to help give people access to grants for insulation and special discounted gas and electricity tariffs.
Ms Lloyd said this January "is set to be a cold one, with temperatures below average" and encouraged vulnerable people across the UK to contact the helpline to access aid.
She added: "The helpline can offer reduced energy tariffs, full grants for insulation and a disconnection safety net that ensures that vulnerable customers will not be cut off even if they are unable to pay their bill."
Garry Felgate, chief executive of the ERA, recently urged people who needed help with their gas and electricity bills to get independent help and support through the Home Heat Helpline.
