British people are reluctant to implement green technology because of the initial
cost of doing so – something a switch of energy provider may be able to help with.
Daniel Green, chief executive officer at HomeSun, says homeowners are "very concerned" about the lump sum they must find to improve the eco-friendly nature of their property.
"The more that the government can do to help people with that initial outlay, the more people will invest in their homes and they [would] actually be investing in the country [too]," he notes.
He urges the government to think about the long term and spend now to protect the future.
Britons with a passion to do things the green way could make a switch of energy supplier now and use the savings towards implementing green methods in their home.
A spokesperson for the Renewable Energy Centre last week suggested the government should start by setting an example when it comes to doing its bit for the environment.
