There are a number of things British households can do to reduce the amount they pay on power bills in 2011 – perhaps including making a switch of energy supplier.
Sarah Lonsdale, writing for the Daily Telegraph, explains one area to target is efficiency.
Indeed, £1 out of every £4 spent on home fuel is wasted, as it escapes through the walls, out the windows or into the roof.
But adding insulation to some of the ten million homes that still require it, according to figures from the National Insulation Association, could be a good start.
This is a route many are expected to go down, with the government anticipating 14 million green revamps across the land in the next decade, Ms Lonsdale notes.
And in order to maximise the benefits, people may like to make a switch of energy supplier.
Citizens Advice has recently reminded consumers its Best Energy Deal campaign offers help and information to everybody looking to reduce their power expense.
