Germany is a cultural hub waiting to be explored by British tourists, with those who save money after a switch of energy supplier perhaps at the front of the queue.
Klaus Lohmann, director of the German National Tourist Office UK and Ireland, says the country is a cosmopolitan place well worth numerous visits.
He describes it as a "hip and sexy" place to be, with a lot more to offer than its traditional reputation for castles, beer and clocks suggests.
"We want to encourage British travellers to go and see for themselves what a creative and innovative place this country is," Mr Lohmann explains.
Cities such as Berlin can "definitely take on" the likes of Milan and Paris as a fashion hotspot, he notes.
A switch of energy supplier could give Britons the extra cash they require to plan a trip across the North Sea in no time at all.
According to recent figures from the tourist board, more than eight million overnight stays were recorded in July.
